Wouter de Man - Project manager
BackWouter de Man - Project manager
Not so long ago, Wouter de Man came into the picture at Cimar Electronics: since April 2022, he has been holding the position of project leader. In this role, he can perfectly combine his technical education and interest with his experience within the manufacturing industry. He has 'landed' very well in his first year at Cimar. He notices with many of his colleagues that he is very easily getting more and more tasks passed on to him. And that is exactly when he is in his element: working in many different departments and applying process optimization wherever possible.
Because, with his years of experience he is very good at looking at an organization with a fresh pair of eyes and making targeted recommendations. In previous positions, he has had the opportunity to see a lot of ‘Cimars’ and since then he has always felt that he would like to work at a Cimar-like company one day. And now that he works at Cimar, he is struck by how complete their 'menu' is: the many in-house disciplines -from development to cable assembly- offer customers more options than they would have expected from such a company. And that's what makes it such fun and so challenging to work at Cimar, because as a project manager he always has a lot to offer the customer. And whether this is a young start-up or an established name; every day and every customer (requirement) is different.
His role as project manager also means that he arrives in the morning and his schedule often looks quite different by lunch time. But he loves that. Of course, he had imagined beforehand what it would be like to work at this type of company, and that it would be cool to be part of such a club of technicians. But after a year, everything seems to have come true. Actually, it has only got better because, on top of that, Cimar gives him all the space, freedom and confidence to do his job. And not least that he can even go home by bike in the afternoon.
Because Wouter loves cycling. And after he almost migrated to England for an international job with one of his previous employers -he sometimes had to fly 85 times a year- he decided he was ready for more time for himself and his family. But back then he would never have dared to dream that three years later he would be living in beautiful Amerongen, finding a wonderful resting balance in his work and private life and, as an avid cyclist, being able to cycle to work just 12 km away...
He is therefore very appreciative of the work and his role in the team. He sees Cimar not only as a super company in their sector, but also as a good, reliable employer. A place where everything is well organised, right down to the details, and where they really look after their employees. Wouter can therefore only warmly recommend people considering a career at Cimar to come and meet them and sample the atmosphere. Because in his first year at Cimar, he himself experienced that they are only too happy to show you what they stand for. And that the door is always open for a cup of coffee.
